Nile Cruises April 2014

If you want a Nile cruise or a Nile cruise and stay holiday, in April 2014, then Nile Cruises with GoCruise will be able to help you.

In addition to a Nile cruise, there are a number of options to add a hotel stay as well. You could possibly add a 3 night stay in Cairo to make a 10 night holiday, or how about a week in a hotel in Luxor or at a Red Sea resort such as El Gouna, Hurghada or Makadi Bay, to make a 14 night holiday. While at a Red Sea resort there is the option to go diving, and even attain your PADI certificate. On some departures it is even possible to add a short cruise on Lake Nasser as well, as this is an amazing way to see Abu Simbel. There are of course a lot more options, which I can talk you through, to ensure that we find the best one for you.

There are generally 10 excursions included on a 7 night Nile cruise and, while the selection can vary slightly from company to company, they would generally include the following Valley of the Kings, Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, Colossi of Memnon, Temple of Karnak, Temple of Luxor, the High Dam at Aswan, Temple of Philae, Temple of Horus & Sobek at Edfu, and a ride in a Felucca. Optional excursions would generally include a sound and light show at one of the temples, Abu Simbel, a hot air balloon flight from Luxor, and of course the Pyramids and Sphinx if you go to Cairo.

With a number of boats ranging from a 4 star up to a 5 star luxury, most with full board but some on an All Inclusive basis, there will be one to suit you. The main companies we use are Discover Egypt, with Alexander the Great, the popular Royal Viking and Viking Princess, Red Sea Holidays with the Grand Rose, Grand Preziosa and Grand Star, and Bales Worldwide with their amazing Dahabiyyas. Other companies include Longwood Holidays, Presidential Nile Cruises, Kuoni, Cosmos and Titan Travel etc, with a wide selection of boats. On Lake Nasser the main boats are Eugenie, Kasr Ibrim & Prince Abbas.

Flights are generally from Gatwick, with some departures having the option of Manchester, although there are some, like the 10 nights Cairo and Nile cruise, which would be from Heathrow.
