I went to sea as a 16 year old, working as a steward on the Union Castle Line, so my love of the sea goes back a long time, although I never started cruising until 1997. I have now cruised over 40 times, with many of the leading ocean and river cruise lines.
In order to build on my cruise experiences, and broaden my general knowledge of the different cruise lines, I also make a point of visiting ships when I can. This is usually for half a day, and often includes lunch, so that I can get a good feel for the ship and the standard of the food served. I have visited ships belonging to many cruise lines, including Crystal, Silversea, Regent Seven Seas, Holland America Line, Oceania, Seabourn, Star Clipper, Discover Egypt, as well as other ships from the companies I have already cruised with.
I have been on a couple of Nile cruises, with Presidential Nile Cruises and Red Sea Holidays, and visited a couple of the boats used by Discover Egypt. I have to admit that I was amazed by how interesting a Nile cruise is, and it is surprising how much information you can pick up from the Egyptologist, who will spend the week with you.
This broad spectrum of experience puts me in the ideal position to help ensure that when I book you a cruise it will be on the right ship for you.
