Bales Dahabiyya

Life aboard a Bales dahabiyya is taken at a leisurely pace, as you sail effortlessly along the Nile. Bales have exclusive use of 4 identical dahabiyyas, each of which carries just 12 passengers, in 6 exceptionally comfortable and spacious cabins. There are 3 double and 3 twin cabins, and they all feature en suite facilities, air conditioning and windows that open out onto the passing Nile landscape. The minimum age for passengers is 12 years old, unless of course you are chartering the whole Dahabiyya.

When you are on a Bales dahabiyya you will receive all meals, as well as local wine, beer, soft drinks, tea and coffee. Meals are generally taken on the top deck, under an awning to protect you from the sun, but can be served in the salon downstairs, in the event of cooler weather. There is also the opportunity for barbecues on the river bank.

These boats have their own moorings in Luxor and Aswan, which are away from the hustle and bustle of the larger Nile river boats. While they travel under sail whenever possible, unlike other dahabiyyas they do have their own engines, so do not need to be pulled by tugs.
