14 Night Nile Cruise between Cairo and Aswan

Great news – it has been announced that on certain dates this summer it will be possible to take a 14 night Nile cruise all the way from Cairo to Aswan, or in the reverse direction. This will enable you to see all the major sites you would normally see on a Luxor to Aswan cruise, plus the main sites in Cairo including the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx, from the comfort of your boat. Ports of call on the way will include, Beni Hassan, Tel El Amarna, Assuit, Sohag, Abydos, Qena, Dendarah, Luxor and Kom Ombo.

Talking of comfortable boats, only a limited number will be licensed for these itineraries, and Alexander the Great is one of them. She is a a 5 star deluxe boat, with just 30 air-conditioned cabins, all with Nile views. Onboard amenities include the restaurant and lounge bar, boutique shops, beauty salon, swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

Prices will start at just £2,249 per person in June 2012, with departures through to August 2012. These prices include return scheduled flights from Heathrow, resort transfers, 14 nights full board on Alexander the Great, as well as at least 10 escorted excursions. Optional excursions will include Abu Simbel and a Hot Air Ballon flight.
